Ineya's role in Mammootty's Puthenpanam is that of a Tamil Beauty

Actress Ineya’s career even though slow is steady, she is getting good roles. Her recent release ‘Swarna Kaduva’ directed by Jos Thomas was a hit at box office and her role was appreciated by all.

Meanwhile she got another interesting role in director Ranjith’s latest movie which has Mammootty as the hero. It is reported that she is playing a central character in the movie and has few combination scenes with Mammootty. Her character’s name is Sundari and is a traditional Tamil girl. Director Ranjith called her for the role after watching ‘Swarna Kaduva’

Twitching the Moustache of Mohanlal is Nivin Pauly

Mohanlal sporting a twirled up moustache was always considered manly and when he sported it in films like ‘Aram Thampuran’ & ‘Narasimham’ people celebrated it and film did a roaring business. Recently during the 100 days celebration of Oppam Nivin Pauly got the rare chance to twitch the moustache of Mohanlal and that video is going viral now.
Mohanlal had said earlier in so many interviews that he twirls up his moustache when the story and character demands it and it is not Mohanlal intentionally doing it. But in the 100 days celebration of Oppam Mohanlal did it after the request from Nivin Pauly. In fact, he asked Nivin Pauly to do it for him.

'Take Off' shoot ended

The  shooting of the movie  'Take Off' ended. 'Take Off' is written and directed by Mahesh Narayanan and features Kunchacko Boban, Fahad Fazil, and Parvathy in the key roles.

'Take Off' is produced by Anto Joseph and Shebin Becker under the banner of Anto Joseph Film Company in association with Rajesh Pillai Films.

The cinematography is done by Sanu Varghese. The script is penned by Mahesh along with writer P V Shajikumar

Biju Menon again with a debut director

Biju Menon is again acting in the movie of a debut director. The film titled 'Orayiram Kinakkalal' is directed by debutant Pramod Mohan.

The script is penned by the director himself. The movie is about the dreams of a group of people and the shortcuts they take to achieve them. 'Orayiram Kinakkalal' is a comedy thriller with lot of situational humors.

Biju Menon does a U K returnee in the film. 'Mudhugauv' fame Sharu P Varghese is the heroine. The rest of the cast is not revealed.

Vysakh to direct Mammootty, Mohanlal, Dileep, Jayaram, and Dulquer Salmaan

Hit maker Vysakh, the top director of 2016, is planning to make several mega projects in near future. Vysakh's Mohanlal-starrer 'Pulimurugan' has entered the 150 crore club.

The first project is 'Raja 2', starring Mammootty in the lead role. The movie scripted by Udaykrishna is a complete family mass entertainer. Mammootty does the character of Pokkiriraja, but the story is not a continuation of 'Pokkiriraja'. 'Raja 2' is produced by Tomichen Mulakupadam. 

MOHANLAL

This will be followed by big projects with Mohanlal, Dileep, Jayaram, and Dulquer Salman. A big budget 3D movie giving prominence to VFX and special effects is to be made in three languages - Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu. The Malayalam version has Jayaram in the lead role. The movie is produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Films.

Another mega project is with Mohanlal. The script is again penned by Udaykrishna and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner Ashirvad Cinema. The movie will be a complete mass entertainer.

This will be followed by a Dileep project by IFAR International and another one with Dulquer Salman - a complete high voltage mass entertainer.

Jude Anthany Joseph clarifies why he is no longer the scriptwriter for Tovino Thomas' Oru Mexican Aparatha

Tovino Thomas' upcoming Malayalam movie Oru Mexican Aparatha has been making headlines ever since it went on floors, thanks to the movie's unique title. Recently, the makers had introduced the film's crew in a title launch video on YouTube
However, few social media users have now raised doubts on why director Jude Anthany Joseph's name is not included in the poster, though it was initially reported that Oru Mexican Aparatha will be scripted by the filmmaker. Jude has now made a Facebook post clarifying why he is not given the credit.

"Please consider this as a reply to the question "why your name is not shown as the scriptwriter of Oru Mexican Aparatha" that was asked to me by some journalists. I had written the story of Oru Mexican Aparatha before directing Om Shanthi Oshaana, and it was bought for a good price by Tom when I was in need of money. Later, he made changes to the script, and now there isn't a single line that I had initially written. The decision to give full credits to Tom was taken by the film's producer Anoop Kannan, along with the director and me. Now, the title, Oru Mexican Aparatha, is my only contribution to the movie and I am happy that I'm the one who gave the title for the film. " Jude posted on his social media account
Oru Mexican Aparatha narrates how Students Federation of India (SFI) gained a foothold in Maharajas college in Kochi. The movie will have few scenes set in the backdrop of the college in the 1970s. While Tovino plays the lead role, Roopesh Peethambaran, who played the childhood character of Mohanlal in the superhit movie Spadikam, will be seen as the antagonist, the leader of Kerala Students Union (KSU). The upcoming film also have Neeraj Madhav in a key role

'The Great Father' release postponed to 2017

So there is no clash between Mammootty and son Dulquer, as announced earlier at X'mas BO! Father makes way for son's Jomonte Suvisheshangal !  Debutant director Haneef Adeni’s The Great Father, which was earlier announced as a Christmas release, will now reach the cinemas on Jan 27. This was informed by August Cinemas, the producers of the movie.  Mammootty plays the lead in The Great Father, along with Sneha, Arya and Baby Anikha. The shifting of the release date means Mammootty will not be in the fray during the big Christmas battle at the box office.  Jibu Jacob’s Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol with Mohanlal and Meena, Sathyan Anthikkad’s Jomonte Suvisheshangal starring Dulquer Salmaan, Jay K’s Ezra with Prthviraj and Diphan’s Jayaram starrer Satya are the other releases during the season.
